So after having a very busy Saturday, my Sunday was the exact opposite. Nothing happened all day! My phone didn't make a single noise until about 10:30 at night. I must admit that it was quite boring, but I was able to keep myself busy. I watched movies and just played some video games to pass the time, while watching the football games too. I watched The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor which, I can say, was atrocious at best. The acting was terrible and the action sequences would have been nice if they had not stuffed them full of poor sex puns. All they were missing was a "That's what she said..." joke to top it all off. The movie overall made me want to gouge my eyes out with rusty spoons. There was little to no exposition to the story. It was almost as if they expected the audience to somehow know everything that was happening with no background knowledge. I can safely say I will never watch that movie again in my lifetime.
After watching that poor movie I decided to watch The Dark Knight, which as most people know: is one of the best movies of the year. For those few that have not yet seen it I can tell you it's amazingly fantastic. Heath Ledger was phenomenal. He really carried that movie to the heights that it reached. His character of The Joker was played to perfection with no faults. I really think it's safe to say Christian Bale, who played the character of Batman/Bruce Wayne, is not a superior actor; as shown from the first Batman movie. The movie overall impresses with it's technical savvy and just how creepy The Joker's character is. Again, I cannot express the acting superiority of Heath Ledger in this movie. It's really a shame that he died, because I think he could have been the best actor of my generation if he had kept up like this.
After watching two totally opposite movies, I watched the football games. Panthers lost in overtime which made me sad. I was hoping they would win out this season. Hopefully they win in the playoffs and make it to the Superbowl.

I went to the midnight showing of the Mummy 3 hahahahaha.
ReplyDeletebecause there was nothing better to do, and I'm awesome like that.
and I really didn't think it was that bad, but maybe it was the combination of just having chugged an energy drink while being tired at the same time. mhmmm
that game made me really sad, too.
