Hump Day

From the time I woke up this morning I knew it was going to be one of those days best described as Wednesday. The days that are just bland. I was fooled though because I had a pretty interesting dream that had magic bathtubs and basketball in middle school gyms in it. I could go into detail but I won't bore you with the specifics. When I was fixing my cereal this morning I lost the cap to the milk. I literally set it down for two seconds to pour some in my breakfast and I lose it in that time. Dad wasn't too pleased with me for that one. I was pleased to come to the realization that it was a late-start day at school so I had an extra thirty minutes to relax with my friends in the Morning Cliq. I enjoy the Morning Cliq so much more than people would think. It is my favorite time of the day (morning) with some of the most relaxed people I know that I can just sit back and have casual conversation with.
After the first bell rang I walked up to tell my friend Maggie about my dream last night, because she was in it. She wanted me to get out of the magic tub because she wanted her turn in it. No way was I going to get out though because the water never turned cold; which is why it was magic. Instead of telling her my story though I decided I just wanted to sit down and think about my day ahead of me.
The day continued by the norm and didn't have too much spice in it. For open lunch my lunch group went to Chinese Kitchen at Quaker Village. It was scrumptious I will say. I like the food that place serves. We were late getting back to school, like always, but Coach Wilson didn't mind too much when me and J.P. came in late again. He probably didn't mind as much as he would have cause I flexed my brain muscle by completing his 100 question test in under thirty minutes. A test he expected us to take forty-five minutes to an hour to complete.
At the end of the day I went to Chess Club with a lot of my friends. I was surprised at the turn out because all of the people that only go sometime all showed up on the same day. We must have had atleast twenty people in there. I often call the club Nerd Club just to poke fun at myself but I truely do enjoy it and the people in it. I mostly don't try when I play games though. I find myself consistently engaging in conversation with the opponent across from me instead of focusing on the game at hand. Thus leading to losses more times than there should be. It doesn't phase me too greatly, though, because I never think more than one move ahead anyway.
After chess I went home and have just been relaxing ever since. I'm looking forward to this weekend though because Maggie's birthday is Friday! I have a gift for her that I hope she likes. I'm excited for the end of the week as well because we get out of school Friday as well for Winter Break. Hopefully the Thursday will go by fast so I can start to live up my last Winter Break as a high schooler.
